Okay, I need some help and some perspective.
I am going crazy and the kids aren't even out of school yet!! Saturdays are bad enough.
I have a small house, and the constant mess that all 4 kids make is driving me up the wall. We have certain rules, like no toys downstairs and no eating in the family room. Even with these rules I can't keep up and my sanity is slowly disappearing.
Things like the kids leaving juice boxes half drunk on the table, just in reach of the 18 month old - you know what happens then. Oh and when the toddler is taking a nap and they start to scream and yell and forget that she is sleeping and wake her up. They constantly leave doors open and then wonder why I'm screaming at them because the toddler is outside on the driveway!!! They are constantly grazing -leaving crackers and wrappers in their wake. AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
The mess is driving me CRAZY and I don't like the person I become when I am crazy. HELP! I need wisdom and advice please!!!

My newest little Scout!
TYSON'S 10TH BIRTHDAY
Where has the time gone? I don't feel a day older than 18, yet somehow I am now 30 with 4 kids; and shock of all shocks, my oldest has now turned 10!!! It literally feels like yesterday when I was poking my stomache telling Tyson to come out because I was jealous of my friend Kerri who was due the same day I was but had her baby boy three weeks early. I know, not fair huh!! I remember taking him home from the hospital, putting him in his beautiful cradle that his grandpa made and thinking, "now what?" Oh, how the time does fly.
Uncle Macc and Aunt Lisa got Tyson a cool new watch. He loves it!
Pile of presents. We just did a family party this year, so it was very low key. All his presents were the same size (Nintendo DS games) but I wanted to make it a little more fun and confusing for him to open, so I put them in different sized boxes. Emma and Zach didn't wrap their presents, we just left them in their Target bags!!
This is the game he really wanted - Narnia. Has he played it yet? - NO!!
The best part about a sibling getting new toys is that you can ask for a turn too!!
This is the really cool part about having forced air heating in your floor. It looks like magic!!

Memorial Day Fun
We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend because my brother Macc and his wife Lisa came to visit!! We love visitors. They arrived Saturday and we immedately headed up to the Adirondacks to a museum called The WILD! It is very cool and we had tons of fun.
Tyson and Zach in front of one of the many fish aquariums.
Our favorite exhibit were the otters. They are so cute to watch- but hard to snap a picture of!
We could have watched the otters playing for hours.
Tess loved to look at the fish and the otters. She did not however want to stay in the stroller. I forgot how much fun it is to take a toddler to a museum :-( !!
Tess was much happier when we headed for the trails and she got to roam free!!
Picture of our whole crew. I'm sure Macc & Lisa appreciate the picture of their backs! Sorry!
Why spend money on museum admission when they have just as much fun throwing rocks in the pond?
On Monday we planned on having a fun BBQ outside. Mother Nature had other plans. As soon as we got the meat on the BBQ it started to rain. Macc and Lisa were troopers and stuck it out until the meat was done, and then we headed indoors to eat.
Unfortunately these are the only pictures I took of them together. Aren't they sooo cute?!!
The kids were hanging out on the new hammock that Uncle Macc and Aunt Lisa put together for me, while lunch was being made. They didn't seem to care when it started raining. They just grabbed umbrellas and kept having fun!

A Soldiers dream...
Some people think that all soldiers get to ride in tanks and fly on helicopters and do all the "fun" soldier stuff. Well, they don't. But Ron has gotten to take a few fun rides in helicopters and a little while ago he got to drive a tank recovery vehicle. Someone snapped some pictures and he sent them too me. For all you security freaks, I got permission to post the pictures :-) ! So here are pictures of my husband having some fun on the job! It's about time - he deserves it!
SISTERS ARE WONDERFUL!!
I hope everyone has sisters as wonderful as mine (and I have great sister-in-laws as well, but this post is dedicated to the biological variety!)
My sister Adriann came to visit with her little girl Ivy a few weeks ago. It was so much fun to have her here. Ivy is adorable and it was tons of fun to see the two little ones playing together. Adriann and I both agreed that having 5 kids all together was too much (it was a little loud at times)!!!
And Jacque came to visit me last weekend. We shopped, got out nails done, watched movies, and ate yummy food. She even helped me plant flowers and she setup my ipod for me!! It was wonderful to have someone here to help me with things that I stubornly didn't want to do on my own.
I love my sisters. They mean the world to me. It has meant so much to me that they have taken the time and traveled long distances to come visit me and keep me sane (Adriann came from Oklahoma and Jacque from D.C.). It is wonderful to have such a great relationship with both of them. They are both strong and amazing women - I admire them greatly and love them enormously!! Thank you so much guys - I love you!

Tyson wrote this for school
Tyson, my almost 10 year old is a great writer. He had an asignment to write about his dad. This is what he wrote:
"My dad is an army soldier. He got married in college. My mom had me in 1998. He loves his family. My opinion, he is the best dad. He usually has an army suit on. His green-brown eyes are just like mine. He has a square but round face and a big smile. The skin color of him and the family is whitish, tanish.
He is in Iraq right now and obviously has a rifle with him. I miss him and he misses me. He is very nice and doesn't yell that much (I hope he does the same to his soldiers). In Iraq if you touched him he would feel very, very sweaty because the temperature is very hot. I love my dad and I'm glad he's mine."
